Tom Ambrose

Senior Training Coordinator

Institute for Legal and Policy Studies

Tom Ambrose, M.A., is a Senior Training Coordinator for the Institute for Legal, Administrative, and Policy Studies.  He is the director of the Probation Training Project, which provides the mandatory 40-hour training for adult, juvenile, and detention probation officers.  Tom has worked in probation and court services for 16 years and has also worked as an independent consultant with the Center for Legal Studies helping with training in the use of interviewing skills.  His previous work includes working as a therapist and as a hospital chaplain.  He holds an M.A. degree from Sangamon State University in Child, Family, and Community Services.
